A local artist from Central Luzon has used his own blood to paint on white canvass the signature poses of Pres. Rodrigo Duterte along with the official seal of the president and a Philippine eagle.
Elito Circa, who is known as “Amang Pintor” from Nueva Ecija province, is believed to be a strong believer of Pres. Duterte in spite of his foul language usage most of the time.
“I see him as a friend because he uses simple languages that can be easily understood by simple people despite of his negative words coming from his lips,” he said.
As such, Circa said this motivated him to paint the different images of Pres. Duterte who, according to him, has already achieve so many accomplishments in just a short time.
Circa narrated how he asked a nurse to extract his blood and had it put in test tubes so that he could used it for his paintings.
He said he has to paint fast so that he could finish his subject because the refrigerated blood-filled vials spoil quickly in a matter of days.
The blood painter revealed that he has already made paintings of Senator Manny Pacquiao and members of the Circa family. Asked on why he uses blood for his artworks, the blood painter said that “blood signifies life.”
