Former President Benigno Aquino III said he would definitely closely monitor the much-awaited investigation on the killing of Albuera town Mayor Rolando Espinoza inside his detention cell last November 5.

“Like everyone else, I will be waiting for the investigation,” Aquino told reporters at the sidelines of Pray for 8-concert held on Sunday as he re-echoed the suggestion of Senator Panfilo Lacson to open anew the extra-judicial killings probe.

                “Inaasahan ng bawat isa na magiging mabilis ang imbestigasyon tungkol dito at para malaman natin kung ano talaga ang tunay na nangyari dito” he said.

According to Albuera PNP Chief Jovie Espinido, Mayor Espinoza was shot dead at sub-provincial jail in Baybay City in Leyte following a raid conducted by the PNP Region 8 Criminal Investigation and Detection Group to serve search warrant on the mayor’s jail cell. Continue reading…


Rolando Espinosa Sr., the mayor of Albuera, Leyte and one of narco-politicians tagged by President Duterte for illegal drug trade, was shot dead inside his prison cell at the Baybay City Provincial Jail in Leyte on November 5.

In an article published by ABS-CBN News, an official claimed that it was Espinosa and fellow inmate Raul Yap who first fired a shot against the operatives of the PNP’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Region 8 while a search warrant is being served early Saturday morning.

Exchanged of fires ensued during the operation that resulted in the instant death of Albuera and Yap, explained CIDG Region 8’s Supt. Melvin Marcos.

“Silang dalawa ang nagpaputok sa operatiba natin at napilitan po yung mga operatiba natin na gumanti at ito po yung nagresulta na ikinamatay ng mga suspek,” Marcos said.

Day before Sen. Manny Pacquiao’s fight, Philippine National Police Chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa said that he will personally handle those policemen that are associated with the jail raid that led to the killing of Rolando Espinosa Sr., Albuera, Leyte mayor.

The PNP Chief said that he will cut his stay in Las Vegas short and  will take care of those involved once he comes back right after the fight of Pacquiao.

Dela Rosa, who was still in the US, said that he will give the permission to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) to fully handle the investigation regarding Espinosa’s killing.

And because of this the Princes Mara fishing vessel crew will now be unworried to venture out Panatag shoal, at the same time any uncertainties or accidents may happen will be responded immediately.

A local artist from Central Luzon has used his own blood to paint on white canvass the signature poses of Pres. Rodrigo Duterte along with the official seal of the president and a Philippine eagle.

Elito Circa, who is known as “Amang Pintor” from Nueva Ecija province, is believed to be a strong believer of Pres. Duterte in spite of his foul language usage most of the time.

“I see him as a friend because he uses simple languages that can be easily understood by simple people despite of his negative words coming from his lips,” he said.
